Amazon review

A very engaging, absorbing read throughout. I followed Jeff's adventures with the students of an East London comprehensive with great empathy, having taught English at secondary schools myself! Jeff's frustrations and occasional delight at a seeming breakthrough with a promising student were plain to see! His book makes us question our current UK education system, where non-academic students are forced to sit through classes that will have little or no bearing on their adult working lives, instead of learning skills which will serve them well.
